Jubilee of Marriage Celebration

The Diocese of Salina wishes to honor all married couples who are celebrating 25, 40, 50, 55, and 60 or more years of marriage this calendar year.  Celebrations with Bishop Edward J. Weisenburger, celebrant, are planned at St. Joseph Church, Hays, on Sunday, October 23 at 3:00 p.m. and St. Mary Queen of the Universe Church, Salina, on Sunday, October 30th at 3:00 p.m.  If you would like to participate in one of these celebrations, please call Jeannie Solko at the parish office by Thursday, September 8th requesting a personal invitation.  Please provide the date and year of your marriage, the anniversary number being celebrated in the year of 2016 and the location of the Church where you will be attending for this special Mass.  Please note:  These celebrations are held on Sundays and will fulfill your Sunday Mass obligation.

Music Accompanists Needed

Our parish is in need of additional pianists/organists to accompany the song leaders in providing music for weekend Masses.  Training will be provided to anyone interested.  Please call the parish office to volunteer 462-2179.

Respect Life Conference 2016

The annual Respect Life Conference "Lobby for Life" will be held on August 27 in Russell at St. Mary, Queen of Angels Parish from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  Amy McInerny, Executive Director of the National Coalition for a Human Life Amendment, will be the keynote speaker.  Lunch will be provided.  The cost of the conference is $20 for an individual, $30 for a couple and $10 for a high school student.  Register at salinadiocese.org/respect-life.  Learn to engage the public policy process to continue to build the culture of life!

RCIA 2016

Anyone interested in growing in their faith or learning about the Catholic faith is welcome to contact Fr. Rich (462-2179) about RCIA classes.  Classes will be beginning September 8.
