A once a month marriage enrichment is coming to Sacred Heart Parish! Covenant of Love is a parish ministry to enrich and support Catholic marriages.  Attendees will learn not only what the Church teaches about marriage, but practical ways to apply the teachings to have a more joy-filled marriage.   All engaged and married couples mark your calendar for Saturday, Feb. 20^th from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. in the church basement.  Make it a date for you and your spouse!

Dale Anderson, from Manhattan, KS, will be coming February 14^th and 15^th to display some first and second class Saint relics, including bones from all 12 of the apostles, a thorn from the crown of thorns, a splinter from the original wooden manger, the table cloth of the last supper, a St. Valentine relic and more.  Dale will give a 45 minute presentation followed by time for questions and viewing of the relics.  Please plan to attend one of the following sessions:  Feb. 14^th at 2:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.; Feb. 15^th school presentations at 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

The Walk for a Grieving Heart event this year is Saturday, February 13^th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. We will meet in the school gym. The purpose of this walk is to highlight the Rachel’s Vineyard “post abortion” ministry and to raise funds to help cover the costs for Rachel’s Vineyard retreat weekends. Those who register and have $50.00 or more in pledges will receive a T-shirt.  Everyone is welcome to walk, whether registered or not.  We begin at 9:00 a.m. and usually finish by 10:00 a.m. / 10:30 a.m.  The route is a little less than 2 miles.  If someone prefers to stay inside, they can walk laps around the gym and through the hallway of the school.

Believe it or not, it is that time again.  Kim will be working on the new Ministry List and needs to have all requests to her by Monday, February 8^th.  All musicians and cantors need to have their requests turned into Laura by Monday, February 1^st.  The new list will be for March, April, and May.  Please keep in mind the list will cover Spring Break, Easter and the end of the school year.  You may call Kim at 462-2179 with your requests, or you may e-mail them to her at the church at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Raffle tickets for the school carnival have been completed and there are excellent prizes to be won.  You may purchase your tickets from any Sacred Heart student, Kathy at the school office, or Kim at the rectory.  Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $1.00 each, 6 tickets for $5.00, or 12 tickets for $10.00.
