Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Week was full of lots of fun activities for students and families. Prior to our CSW kickoff, the fourth and fifth graders went on a field trip to the KXXX radio station to record a public service announcement. On Monday, students celebrated Kansas Day with a field trip to Fick Fossil Museum in Oakley. On Tuesday, parents were invited to a pancake breakfast with their children. On Wednesday, three fifth graders represented Sacred Heart in the Thomas County Spelling Bee, and the whole school traveled to Oakley to spend the day with the students at St. Joseph’s. On Thursday, we welcomed grandparents to our classroom and lunchroom. Later that day, we performed at the the St. Thomas Historical Apartments and then returned back to school for a STEM challenge of building bridges with toothpicks and gumdrops. On Friday, we dressed for success and enjoyed playing Minute-to-Win-It games.
